Headlight Restoration
Are your headlights foggy or have a yellow tint to them? Has your visibility at night or during the rain lowered (thanks Iowa weather). No worries, you don’t have to replace them.
We don’t use a generic headlight kit from walmart, we go through a full sanding, compound, polishing process to ensure shiny headlights.
Our Process
Sand with 800, 1000, 1500, 2500, & 3000 grit sand paper, removing the oxidation of the headlight.
Compound the headlights using a cutting disc, compound, and machine polisher to remove sanding marks
Polish the headlights to bring maximum clarity
By doing this process, we remove the only layer of failed, oxidized clear coat (yellow & foggy look) then we compound and polish to bring them back to life.

Do you come to me?
Yes, we’re mobile-based so we’d clean the interior at your preferred location. We service the Greater Des Moines area and surrounding areas like West Des Moines, Johnston, Waukee, Altoona, Ankeny, Norwalk, Indianola, Urbandale, Carlisle, Grimes, Pleasant Hill, Saylorville, etc…
What kind of wax do you use?
We have a few brands we use like Meguier’s, Chemical Guys, & Wolfgang. So it comes down to what we’re working on and what we decide is best fitting. Our go-to choice is Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0.
How long will the wax last?
It’s all depends how you store your car. If it’s garaged at work and at home 80% of the time, then it can last between four to six months. If you have your car sitting out in the sun, cold, and rain 100% of the time, then maybe you can get three months out of it.
Also, if you wash your car with dish soap, then you’ll start stripping the protective layer of wax off your paint.
Does this remove scratches from my paint?
Applying a wax will hide the micro-light swirls and scratches in your paint. They’re essentially “filled in” with the wax which creates more shine. So technically it does hide the really light scratches, but it does not actually remove any of them.
Nonetheless, your paint will look much glossier because the wax creates a more “flat” surface.
